Create Black & White photos for Home Decor

I was so excited to get my black and white photos back from Heritage Makers! I created 4 photos on a 12 x 12 scrapbook page using the "filter option" under the "effects tab" of the Tool Box.

I ordered two scrapbook pages because I was using the pictures for two projects.

First, I wanted to make my Mother-in-Law a wall hanging for Mother's Day. I used a wooden board, painted it black, and modge podged my pictures onto the board. It was so easy! Here's what it looks like:



Second, my kitchen wall was in need of a decoration. I took the same four pictures and modge podged them onto wall boxes that I painted black. Everyone of my kids came in at various times during the day and said "Way cool Mom!" Success! Take a look:

What it Means to be a Shipley

I finished my Book entitled "What it Means to be a Shipley" last night. I loved creating this book. While I was making it, I felt a powerful feeling come over me that what I was creating was important.

I've included a copy of my book here. The second page does not have the pedigree chart completed. Safety reasons. Enjoy!

Graduation Picture

My daughter and I finished her graduation picture. Using Heritage Makers "Deck of Cards", we were able to create a card unique to her. Kelsi's College Cookbook - created using Heritage Makers

I created this without using a template. It was fun to use the transparency tool on an object and then put another object on top of it. I am really enjoying using Heritage Makers as a creative outlet.
